#SLTalk 2.0

#SLTalk Kembali buat Kali Kedua

#SLTalk Returns After High Demand, in 2.0!
SUBANG JAYA, 10th March – In light of the positive response from the public and the hype that #SLTalk 1.0 had received, Schoollah Malaysia held another one of their #SLTalk seminars (#SLTalk 2.0), located in Taylor’s University Lakeside Campus on the 10th of March 2018. This time, the modules which were upgraded and improved by the Schoollah Malaysia team following the first #SLTalk to ensure that the content delivered in the limited time will be useful to every participant in attendance. #SLTalk 2.0 had managed to gather a number of 101 participants, with a total of 38% SMK participants, along with SBP, MRSM and other institutions. Majority of the participants came from all over the Klang Valley.
Schoollah still followed the same formula as the first #SLTalk, which was to expose to students of all the various higher education pathways that are available to them, locally and abroad. Networking between the participants were also highly encouraged as Schoollah believes that having a good networking circle and nurturing the ability to socialise is highly valuable. Schoollah also believes that with #SLTalk, Schoollah Malaysia will be a relevant organisation in Malaysia’s education marketing scene.
#SLTalk 2.0 also held a special Mock Interview slot, in which participants were chosen at random were invited to join a “scholarship interview” panelled by three of our facilitators which are all experienced in real scholarship interviews as they have undergone interviews by Bank Negara Malaysia, JPA, Yayasan Khazanah and other reputable, well known scholarship bodies. Through this slot, Schoollah hopes that it could prepare the participants in facing the real deal, after the SPM results are released.
“The seminar that we are holding this time was planned after analysing the hype and positive feedback that we have received among the participants of #SLTalk 1.0, held in Menara KPMG, back in February,” said the founder of Schoollah Malaysia, Mr Lukman Khiruddin.
“On our Twitter (@schoollah), we find that there are still many students confused with their UPU application process, and many still believe in myths and irrelevant information regarding higher education in general. It is also appalling that some students only know a few universities and choices and they thought that this was everything higher education had to offer, when in reality, there are many, many more. Realising this, we held the #SLTalk in hopes that being able to educate the school leavers face to face would be more effective than doing it solely online,” the humble young accountant-cum-education consultant said.
Schoollah Malaysia is an education consultation body registered under SSM Malaysia as a social enterprise, that aspires to help every SPM, STPM and similar levelled students in regards of higher education, including how to apply for scholarships and how to prepare for university, whether local or abroad, through sharing by the facilitators of their own personal experience. We hope that Schoollah’s honourable dream of educating everyone about education will always be supported by Malaysians and everyone, all over the world.
